Generic drugs indicated for use in pregnancy… Are they properly tested?

Pregmedic: The Canadian Alliance for the Safe and Effective Use of Medications in Pregnancy and Breastfeeding

Pregmedic, the Canadian Alliance for the Safe and Effective Use of Medications in Pregnancy and Breastfeeding, has been created by representatives from health professions, academia, patients, regulatory and industry. Its main goal is to have pregnant women and their fetuses recognized as a vulnerable patient population and to ensure that health care professionals and patients have access to current and reliable information on the safety and efficacy of medications used during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Explore our site through the navigation bar and learn more about the Pregmedic Alliance.

The information provided on this website is not intended to be used in the individual treatment of any patient. This website is intended to be used in the discussion of best standards of practice regarding the use of medication in pregnant women or women who could become pregnant and the protection of their unborn child, and in women who are nursing and the protection of breastfeeding babies.
